LORD, My Strength & Song

Psalm 118:13-14 " But the LORD helped me. The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation."

You helped me discover myself, You helped me believe in me, who you made me be. You helped me to love again with all my heart. You helped me through every disappointment. You helped me teach others of You. You helped me to be honest with myself & others no matter what. We share a no matter what kind of love. You helped me realize my faults & sin. You helped me repent & led me free.

Together we are unstoppable. Together we change the world, a broken world. You helped me get to know You & to desire great things. You helped me trust again & You still are. I am made new because of You. You helped me forgive even when I couldn't forget. You helped me reconcile relationships, learning that we all fall short of Your grace, mercy, honor, and glory. We fall continuously, yet You are slow to anger, slow to speak, and quick to listen. LORD, You are my strength & always will be. You are my strong tender voice of reason, hope, & mercy when I've been betrayed. You've been my strong hands of protection & the ultimate guard of my heart when I struggled with sin & shame. You protected me from the enemy's discouragement to kill, steal, and destroy me; You never let him destroy me, thank You. I've been close to broken, but because Your body was broken, every ounce of me survived because You took my place. You give me the strength to run this race of faith & to believe that You will always get us through each storm even though it looks like we are all about to drown.

Oh God, I've Missed You, I've missed writing to You because lately, I've only been writing to an audience. I'm going to write to You again.

" I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the LORD." Pslam118:17

"A lot of this life is mostly just speaking of You, isn't it?"

" Declaring out to the world on the rooftops about Your goodness and all You have done in our lives & the plans You have revealed to us."

You've become my love song, my thank you song. You gave me a song of devotion, of longing. Our songs together change as I grow to know You deeper. I've been recording our songs & writing them down. So far we have:

Our song never dies. I love our shower songs, our car songs, all of my worship songs to You, even our songs of silence. Our songs of silence are only felt, felt like an earthquake, strong, silent, unknown, & immensely understood, yet only felt by that one person who is in the right place at the right time.
