HOPE

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:11-13

Yesterday I told my testimony on Instagram for the first time for the whole world to hear. My heart breaks every time I remember how it used to be. I mentioned how in the lowest, darkest times in my life, I understood why people would rather take their own lives instead of living in such agony. In that kind of numbness and pain, it becomes hard to breathe, anxiety consumes you, and sadness drowns you. Your world is shattered and you can't find anything or anyone to live for, you don't believe it will ever end, and you don't believe you can make it through another day, you are hopeless.

" Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again- my Savior and my God! - Psalm 42:5

HOPELESSNESS comes from the enemy, but HOPE comes from Jesus. God assures you peace, a future, and a hope.

How do I know this? I experienced this and I still remember the pain of not knowing the truth of this. I experienced the worst times in my life, not knowing Jesus's heart for me and that led me to the grave. Jesus gave me hope, a hope I never thought belonged to me. I now have enduring hope because of Jesus.

You think you are unworthy, unpure, not enough, not beautiful, unwanted, unneeded, unseen, abandoned, forgotten, This is so untrue.

With JESUS, HOPE doesn't run out, there is no end, it's forever, never dying, it's full, it's complete. Please believe this. There is a happy ending to your story.

"Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love- and the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13

Let Jesus capture your heart and embrace you because He wants to, accept Him, and fall into HOPE because He is the only one that can give it to you. I promise! Hope has a name, and that name is Jesus. Jesus could never avoid the pain, avoid the cross. We all have to face our darkness, our pain, our sorrow, our downfall, but it's only for a moment. Jesus only saw His end, His death on the cross, but His faith and His hope led Him to get through the cross, to die for us, with the trust in God that He would be resurrected. He went through this to die for all of us, the ones who choose Him, and the ones that won’t. Jesus's hope transcended all the present pain He had to bear and endure on that day of crucifixion. Jesus had a future and a hope and He gave that future and hope to us.

" Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." - Hebrews 11:1

Jesus is my only hope. With Him, I get to have the reality of what I hope for and I get to know that the things that I hope for, the things not yet seen, will come to pass. Jesus's hope is for you and me. OH, HOW I LOVE HIM.

Rest in that hope, in that love, and in His promise.

" As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ." - 1 Thessalonians 1:3
