My Redeemer Lives

It's my anniversary week with Jesus Christ. My Redeemer lives. A year ago around September 25th, I fully surrendered my life to Jesus. I could finally breathe and honestly before Jesus I didn't know what it really meant to breathe fresh air.

I was on my couch one night when I wanted my life to end, I wasn’t going to take my life, but I didn’t want to live like this anymore! I was reading the book, Relationship Goals by Michael Todd. A sliver of words I read, then suddenly I enter a vision. As if a movie reel flashes before my eyes. My life in a movie. I saw all my terrible relationships, all my heartbreaks, all my loneliness wrapped up in a vision film!

Suddenly, I saw a man in the doorway as I was weeping in my room silently dying in tears. This man was Jesus standing in my door way with His eyes locked on me, just weeping and weeping as I was weeping! Jesus in the doorway loved me more than I loved myself! He was weeping for me before I was His!

In that moment I knew I was loved, not forgotten, and destined for a purpose greater than myself!

Instantly I fell to my knees weeping saying, I’m so so sorry Jesus, I didn’t know You loved me like this! Deep tears and a merciful entrance of the heart of God filled me as I said, I can’t live this way anymore, take my life, I want to live for You!

This breath is new life in Jesus. I was made new like new seasons. I was given a new name like new colored leaves that fall. Before I knew it I was beyond beautiful and a new creation!

Jesus breathe new life into my lungs. The wind of the Holy Spirit lives in me. I am a daughter of the Most High God.

My hope is that this blog reminds you of your anniversary with Jesus, to remind you that your Redeemer lives on within you forever. It's up to you to remember the lovingkindnesses of the Lord. It's up to you to surrender to your Creator of Heaven and Earth.

Job 19:25-27 " For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!”

Once you are pure in heart, you will see God, the Father. As long as my Redeemer's soul lives I will never leave. Our Redeemer is forever. He was and is to come! Don't forget that He is coming back for you, that one lost sheep, for you that sinner, for you that daughter, for you that son. Remember Him today and surrender again.
